Too often our society stereotypes entire groups of people into one monolithic entity. The LDS Church often faces considerable stereotyping because of their position in the United States (both historically and currently) as a minority religion. This article (and the entire blog) is a great reminder that there is a wide variety of beliefs within any single religious group. The comments throughout the blog are also a good reminder of what happens when evoking stereotype in debate. It’s also interesting to see what issues are resolved by the commentators, as well as the (relatively speaking) respectfulness of their tone.
